Colchester and North East Essex Building Preservation Trust have produced a study into different possible uses for the town’s Victorian water tower.

The tower built in 1882 was named after Jumbo an elephant in London Zoo.

The trust has looked into six schemes including a museum, restaurant, residential use and an activity centre.

The current owner of the Jumbo has co-operated with trust allowing access for the study.

The report was presented to councillors at the end of January.
