The cost of rents continue to rise according to the latest HomeLet Rental Index.

HomeLet is one of the country’s largest tenant referencing companies and their figures, collected for February 2016, show that although the increase in rents has slowed down there has still been a 4.8% increase in rents, outside of London, across the country. East Anglia has seen an increase of 4.4% with the average monthly rent increasing from £760pcm to £793pcm.

The report from HomeLet also shows a large shift in the rental market with its percentage of single renters decreasing with more families moving into the private rented sector.
